The Ministry of Commerce website on the 8th news, the Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng recently interviewed the media on the hot issues of the "Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement" (TPP). He said that for the impact of the TPP, China will conduct a comprehensive and systematic assessment based on the text of the agreement officially announced by the relevant parties.

Gao Hucheng made the above statement in response to the question of whether the TPP may have a negative impact on China's trade and investment. He also said that all regional free trade arrangements may have a certain trade and investment transfer effect on non-members. The Chinese side believes that the evolution of the international trade pattern is ultimately determined by the adjustment of the international industrial structure and the international competitiveness of national products. China has always adhered to the basic national policy of opening to the outside world, unswervingly supports global economic integration and the multilateral trading system, encourages the improvement and development of global value chains, and is committed to promoting the prosperity and stability of the world economy.

He also said that the Chinese and TPP main members have maintained a smooth communication of information on their own free trade negotiations. US officials and TPP members have repeatedly stated that the TPP does not target China, not to contain China, and does not intend to exclude China. In fact, 21 APEC members, including China and the United States, adopted the APEC Roadmap for Promoting the Asia-Pacific Free Trade Area in Beijing at the APEC Leaders' Informal Meeting held in Beijing last year. This is also an important cooperation between China and the United States. China is willing to work with the US to strengthen cooperation on global trade rules within the framework of the multilateral trading system, actively promote regional and world economic development, and continuously enhance people's well-being.

  • Characteristics - Structural steel differs from concrete in its attributed compressive strength as well as tensile strength.
  • Strength - Having high strength, stiffness, toughness, and ductile properties, structural steel is one of the most commonly used materials in commercial and industrial building construction.
  • Constructability - Structural steel can be developed into nearly any shape, which are either bolted or welded together in construction. Structural steel can be erected as soon as the materials are delivered on site, whereas concrete must be cured at least 1–2 weeks after pouring before construction can continue, making steel a schedule-friendly construction material.
