It is understood that Sanmenxia currently has an annual production capacity of 3 million tons of alumina, which plays an important role in the aluminum industry in Henan. The Sanmenxia Cayman Aluminum Co., Ltd., which was inspected yesterday, is a wholly foreign-owned enterprise with an annual production capacity of 1.2 million tons of alumina. The total investment is 3.7 billion yuan. The first phase of the project, which produces 400,000 tons of alumina per year, was completed and put into production in December last year. The supply of products is in short supply, and the second and third phases of the project are under intense construction. During the inspection, Sun Shanwu said that accelerating the alumina project launched has an important significance for improving the aluminum industry chain in our city and further developing and expanding the aluminum processing base. Xiangjiang Wanji Aluminum Company and other parties concerned should seriously study Sanmenxia's experience, identify gaps and shortcomings, take people's strengths, overcome difficulties, and meticulously organize construction, and strive to complete and start production of 400,000 tons of alumina projects in the first phase.
