Tungsten export quotas are declining year by year

In 2002, China's total export quota for tungsten products was 1.82 million tons. In 2005, China's total export quota for tungsten products was 16,300 tons. In 2008, it was 14,900 tons of metal. In 2010, it fell to 14,300 tons of metal.

From 1.82 million tons in 2002 to 14.3 million tons in 2010, the decline was 21.43%, reducing the amount of metal by 0.39 million tons, equivalent to 7600 tons of tungsten concentrate. Calculating the recovery rate of the production process is equivalent to reducing about 8400 tons. Export volume of tungsten concentrate.

In 2010, the total export quota of tungsten products decreased by 300 tons compared with 2009, a year-on-year decrease of 2%, equivalent to the export volume of alloys in 2-3 months in 2009.

The country's reduction in the export volume of tungsten raw materials has not restricted the export of deep-processed products, and the economic crisis has hit. The use of quotas in 2008 and 2009 is not satisfactory, and the use of quotas is incomplete. There is no export growth trend for the corresponding deep processing products.

It can be seen that the total export volume of tungsten products is not currently related to quotas, and to a certain extent related to tariffs. On the other hand, related to the deep processing structure of tungsten in China, in the deep processing behavior, the electrode and tungsten wire have been basically supplied by China, and the tool level of China in the cemented carbide industry has not yet formed a leading supply situation.
