On February 3, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal issued an announcement to conduct anti-dumping and countervailing investigations on crystalline silicon photovoltaic modules and laminate products originating in or exported from China to determine whether the products involved have contributed to the domestic industry in Canada. In this regard, photovoltaic industry expert Zhao Yuwen told reporters that "China's PV companies export small quantities of PV products to Canada as a whole, and Canada is not the main export market for Chinese PV companies in the next few years, so Canada's dual opposition to China's PV companies The impact is not big."

Zhao Yuwen also said that although the impact is small, it may cause other countries to follow suit, such as restricting the export of Chinese PV companies overseas.

According to the relevant Canadian legal procedures, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal will make a preliminary ruling on the case on March 5, 2015. If it is a positive ruling, the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) will continue to conduct anti-dumping and countervailing investigations on the products involved. The final result of the "double-reverse" investigation will be announced on June 3 this year.

In this regard, Zhao Yuwen told reporters that "the United States has double-dip, and Canada's double-anti-subsistence is closely followed. This is a situation that Chinese PV companies cannot accept. Therefore, in response to Canada's PV double-reverse, domestic authorities and PV companies should be active.
