Li Zhengxin, deputy inspector of the Henan Provincial Government Development Research Center, made a keynote report on "Main Points and Progress in the Construction of Manufacturing Innovation Centers". Researcher Li said that manufacturing is the mainstay of the national economy. The manufacturing innovation center is the first of the five major projects proposed by China Manufacturing 2025 and is the core node of the future manufacturing innovation system. In recent years, the approval of a number of provincial-level innovation centers, such as the Henan Provincial Functional Diamond Materials Innovation Center, has accelerated the major layout of high-end manufacturing and promoted the transformation and upgrading of traditional advantageous industries. At the end of the report, effective measures were proposed on some issues faced by the input mechanism, operational channels and collaborative innovation.
Prof. Li Zhihong, Senior Consultant of the Superhard Materials Branch of China Machine Tool Industry Association, gave a report on “Challenges in the Development of Superhard Materials Industryâ€. Professor Li combined with the listed company's annual report, import and export market data statistics, domestic manufacturing purchasing managers index and other chart data, detailed explanation of the business status of the main enterprises of superhard materials in 2018, analysis of 2018 superhard abrasives, grinding wheels, saw blades , the development of large single crystal, wire saw and other products. He pointed out that the development of the largest saw blade products is still poor, and the international political and business situation such as anti-dumping and trade war is unpredictable. At the same time, the industry is facing insufficient innovation capability, weak intellectual property rights, and it is difficult to provide precision and fine raw materials in supporting industries.
