Installation and use of electromagnetic flowmeter

The correct installation of the electromagnetic flowmeter is extremely important for the normal use of the electromagnetic flowmeter. Here, the main problems of the electromagnetic flowmeter sensor and the converter are to be installed and used.

1 installation location. The common electromagnetic flowmeter sensor has an enclosure rating of IP65. The requirements for the installation site are:

(1) When measuring the mixed phase fluid, select a location that does not cause phase separation.

(2) Select a place where no negative pressure will occur in the measuring tube.

(3) It should be installed in an environment without strong electric field and strong magnetic field. There should be no large electric equipment, such as electric motor or transformer, in the vicinity to avoid electromagnetic field interference.

(4) Avoid installation in places with strong corrosive gases around.

(5) The ambient temperature should generally be in the range of -25 to 60 degrees.

(6) Install in a place where there is no vibration or vibration. If the vibration is too large, the pipe should be fixedly supported before and after the sensor.

(7) The relative humidity of the environment should generally be in the range of 10% to 90%.

(8) Avoid installation in places where it can be drenched by rain or immersed in water.

2 straight pipe length. The electromagnetic flowmeter has relatively low requirements on the length of the straight pipe section in front of the watch. Generally, it is a 90-degree elbow, a T-shaped three-way, a reducer, a full-opening valve, etc., leaving the sensor electrode shaft center line (not the sensor inlet). The end face has a straight pipe length of 3 to 5 times; for valves with different opening degrees, a straight pipe length of 10D is required; after the sensor, there should generally be a straight pipe length of 2D. When the valve cannot be fully opened, the additional error can be greatly reduced if the valve shut-off direction is installed at 45 degrees to the sensor electrode.

3 installation position and flow direction. The electromagnetic flowmeter can be mounted horizontally or vertically.

When installed horizontally, the electrodes must be placed horizontally. When installed vertically, the fluid must flow from bottom to top. If there is a pump nearby, the sensor should be installed behind the pump to prevent negative pressure.

4 Install the bypass pipe. The measurement accuracy of the electromagnetic flowmeter is affected by the inner wall of the measuring tube, especially the fouling near the electrode, and the use should be paid attention to regular maintenance and cleaning. In order to facilitate the inspection and adjustment of the zero point, the small and medium diameter pipe should be installed with a bypass pipe as much as possible, so that the electromagnetic flowmeter is filled with the liquid that is not flowing.

5 is properly grounded. The signal of the electromagnetic flowmeter is weak, only a few millivolts at full scale. When the flow is very small, only a few microvolts, the slight disturbance of the outside will affect the measurement accuracy. Therefore, the electromagnetic flow sensor must be grounded separately, and its "ground" and the "ground" of the liquid to be tested and the "ground" of the converter should be used for a new year, and then buried deep with the grounding wire. The next grounding resistance should be small. There should be no ground current at the ground. To ensure good grounding and good joint angle between the fluid casing pipes, do not connect them to the motor or the upstream and downstream pipes.

6 The signal wire should be penetrated into the grounding steel pipe alone, and it must not be worn in a steel pipe. The signal line must be shielded and the length must not exceed 30M. If it is required to lengthen the signal line, certain measures must be taken, such as double-shielded cable shielding drive.

7 The flow direction of the fluid to be measured should be the direction specified by the transmitter. Otherwise, the flow signal will be phase-shifted by 180 degrees, which may seriously affect the measurement.
