69.光触媒含有的二氧化钛是光催化材料它的反应条件必须是在紫外线光的条件下甲醛分子或病菌必须与它亲密接触才作用而且最佳效果是在375波段的紫外线光在这样一个范围，在杀菌的同时对人体的伤害也是致命的，特别容易伤害眼睛及皮肤，严重的会造成失明及皮肤癌。因此它只适合在严格封闭的条件下使用。它仅治标(污染源释放出来的甲醛分子而非治本(污染源)而且是被动性的既要有光又要同时亲密接触而且在晚上光触媒就失去了作用，并对一些装饰材质有一定的破坏力。
活性炭吸附空气中的大分子气体及悬浮颗粒，例如烟雾、灰尘等，多是通过强制空气循环达到滤净空气的目的，需要定期更换滤芯，实际使用效率不高，不能起根除有害气体的目的。另外，活性炭只能暂时吸附一定的污染物，温度、风速升高到一定程度的时候，所吸附的污染物就有可能游离出来，再次进入呼吸空间中，吸附达到饱和不再具有吸附能力时，如不更换过滤材料，其所吸附的甲醛、细菌等将随时被释放出来成为隐形炸弹。
化学吸附，是挥发性物质的分子与吸附剂起化学反应而生成非挥发性的物质，这种机理可使得低沸点的物质如甲醛被吸附掉。原理是将药剂直接喷或刷在装修用人造板材上，和甲醛发生一定的化学反应被消耗掉，生成另一种化学物质，而不能分解甲醛气体分子使之变成无害的物质，只能在人造板材上喷刷油漆之前使用，而且用量上很难掌握，对后期持续不断散发的有害气体无能为力，并且墙壁、地板、沙发等地方不能使用，是一种使用范围有限的、简单的应急处理手段，不能达到真正永久性的清除甲醛的目的。
臭氧浓度达到0.1PPM以上，臭氧就起到杀菌，除异味的作用。但达到0.15PPM后，臭氧本身就会发出浓烈的恶臭，并且其使用环境不能超过30℃，否则可能致癌。苛刻的实践条件限制了其在民用环境中的普及使用。
负离子具有极强的吸附和氧化作用，因此它能高效快速的杀灭空气中的细菌、病毒等各种微生物，可快速消除空气中有机异味、臭味、化学挥发物、尘埃、烟雾等。负氧离子使用寿命很短，空气中的存在只是昙花一现，转瞬即逝的，并且不洁空气会进一步使其浓度降低。
空气加湿器主要是超声波加湿器和纯净加湿器。传统的空气加湿器的主要功能在于对室内空气的湿度进行调节，将其保持在一个合理、健康的状态，从一定程度上解决了室内空气的干燥问题，对家庭健康环境的营造，起到了积极作用。但在对空气质量改善层面上，尤其是对室内装修所带来的甲醛、氨、苯等有害气体的净化上，则显得十分不足。

70.玻璃专用粘胶剂玻璃质坚易脆，表面光滑，粘结需要有专用的胶粘剂。主要是AE丙烯酸酯胶，学名叫AE室温固化透明丙烯酸酯胶。具体又分两种型号，即AE-01胶和AE-02胶。前者适于粘结有机玻璃；后者适用于粘结无机玻璃和钢化玻璃。
这是一种无色透明的粘稠液体，室温下在4～8小时内即可固化，粘结力强，操作简便。
另外，还有一种聚乙烯醇缩丁醛胶粘剂，对无机玻璃粘结力极好，无色透明，耐潮、耐蚀、耐老化、耐冲击。粘结后十分牢固。广泛用于室内装饰。
