Canadian wind power industry develops rapidly

Canadian business consultancy TechSci Research recently released a research report on the 2016 Wind Power Market Opportunities in Canada, pointing out that benefiting from a good economic and operating environment, Canadian wind power installed capacity has grown exponentially in recent years. In 2010, the cumulative installed capacity of wind power in Canada exceeded 4 GW, about three times that of 2007. Driven by investment levels and government support, investment in wind power development in Canada exceeded $2.2 billion in 2009, and new installed capacity of wind power accounted for about one-third of global new capacity. The report also stressed that, thanks to the government's desire to develop renewable energy, the cumulative installed capacity of wind power in Canada is expected to increase by five times by 2016, and it will occupy a leading position in the wind power market.
