When we grind the φ20mm outer circle shown in Figure 1, it is difficult to clamp. Because it is directly clamped on the outer circle of φ5mm, due to insufficient rigidity, vibration and deformation occur during grinding. In order to enhance the rigidity of the clamping part, an opening sleeve (Fig. 2) is added to the outer circle of φ5 mm, and the right end surface of the sleeve abuts against the A end surface of the part (Fig. 3). The problem of rigidity of the clamping portion is solved. It turns out that this method is simple and practical.
