Valluar Brazil launches its first drill pipe project

VAM Drilling, an industry of the Vallourec Group, launched its first drill pipe plant in Brazil last week. The facility is fully integrated in the parent company Vallourec & Mannesmann Brazil (V&M) in production operations in Barreiro, Minas Gerais.

The unit is expected to reach full capacity production by 2012, when it will produce 30,000 drill pipes per year. The investment in the facility has not been disclosed to the public. In addition, this drilling pipe plant in Brazil will contribute to the self-sufficiency of the equipment and products required by the domestic oil and gas industry.
