Taxco Bay Wind Power has signed a 20-year power purchase agreement

The Michigan Public Service Commission approved a $485 million contract from DTE Energy Corporation (NYSE: DTE) to purchase 120 megawatts of wind farm electricity.

Taxco Bay Wind Power Co., Ltd. has signed a 20-year power purchase agreement, with a target of 1,000 megawatts of renewable energy installed capacity by 2015.

The project is part of NextEra's energy resources and is expected to be operational in 2012. The construction project is expected to be implemented for six to nine months starting in 2012.
